Essentially, a ‘one trip’ container is a brand new shipping container. The name comes from the fact they’ve made a single international journey from their place of manufacture, usually China, to the customer here in Liverpool. There may be some signs of transit and handling to the container from the journey, the odd scratch, tyre mark or minor dent, but these are to be expected from transit and they do no harm to your new container. New containers are usually shipped loaded with freight which makes the journey more cost effective for the buyer.

This is a more cost-effective option if the container is to remain in position onsite for the long-term. New containers will last 20+ years in a single site with minimal maintenance to moving parts such as lockboxes and handles. They also hold a better resale value, simply because the lack of handling or transit will have kept them looking clean and presentable and in good condition.
An added bonus of a new container vs a used option is that if it is to remain in a prominent location on your site, branded perhaps, new containers tend to look smarter and cleaner.
